Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Italy Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Italy showcased diverse performance trends across the leading platforms. According to data from Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at how these apps fared on the unified platform.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 33K in early April and rising to nearly 42K by the end of June. Active users showed a similar upward trend, climbing from around 365K to over 528K during the same period.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw weekly downloads fluctuate slightly, maintaining a range between 13K to 19K. Active users grew consistently from approximately 156K to 225K, with a peak of around 243K in late June.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed moderate growth in weekly downloads, starting at 3.4K and finishing at 5.1K. Active users increased from about 96K to 120K, with a notable peak mid-quarter.

inDrive. Save on city rides demonstrated a gradual rise in downloads, moving from 3K to over 4K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, slightly increasing from 11K to 13K over the quarter.

Grab: Taxi Ride, Food Delivery observed a steady increase in downloads, from about 2.3K to 4.2K. Active users also grew, starting at 172K and reaching over 211K by the end of the quarter.
